The North Penn School District (NPSD) has recently been ranked number 4 in Montgomery County and number 17 in the state in the 2020 Best School Districts in Pennsylvania by Niche in accordance with their ranking system.
Niche’s 2020 Best School Districts ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users. The same methodology is used to produce the Overall Niche Grade for each ranked school district as well as additional school districts. Statistics obtained from the U.S. Department of Education represent the most recent data available, as self-reported by the school districts. Niche also collects data directly from schools via their Niche Partner Accounts.
The overall ranking for each school district includes a grade ranging from “A+” to “F-” in ten categories. These categories include Teachers, College Prep, Clubs & Activities and Sports, all in which NPSD scored an “A+”; and Academics, Diversity, Health & Safety, Administration, Food and Resources & Facilities all in which NPSD scored an “A”.

Dietrich, Ed.D., superintendent, NPSD. “The laurels we receive as a district are a reflection of the excellent and supportive community we serve.”
With an overall grade of “A+”, NPSD was named to the 2020 Best School Districts in Pennsylvania, coming in at number number 4 in Montgomery County and number 17 in the state of Pennsylvania. Of the 496 school districts evaluated by Niche in Pennsylvania, only 249 districts were named to this prestigious list. To do so, districts must earn an overall ranking of at least a “B”. NPSD also ranked as the 3rd best school district for athletes, the 26th best place to teach and the 27th most diverse school district in Pennsylvania.
NPSD was also named as one of the 2020 Best School Districts in America coming in at number 191 of 10,782 school districts evaluated by Niche. Only the top ranking 1,000 school districts nationwide are recognized and ranked in the 2020 Best School Districts in America.
