How ParentSquare Works
Providing up-to-the-minute accurate information in emergency situations is extremely important. NPSD uses a software program called ParentSquare to send messages to specified telephone numbers and emails of your choice within a matter of minutes.
Examples of when ParentSquare is used include school closings due to power outages, security threats, or early dismissals in the case of bad weather.
NPSD will continue to use NPTV, www.npenn.org and local media outlets for public communication.
It is important that you make sure your contact information is up-to-date and accurate by notifying your school office when changes are made. This will enable the district to disseminate information to all of its families and staff members in the most time efficient manner possible.
All phone number updates must be completed through Infinite Campus. All information is uploaded to ParentSquare every night directly from Infinite Campus. It may take 24 hours until the update from Infinite Campus is shown in School Messenger.
What we suggest you do today:
1. Activate your ParentSquare Account
Download the free ParentSquare app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can also use ParentSquare on a web browser. Use the same email address or phone number that you have in Infinite Campus to sign in.
2. Choose How and When You Receive Updates
ParentSquare lets you. choose how you want to get updates. You can choose:
- Email, text message, or app notifications
- Get notifications right away when messages are posted
- Get a daily summary of less urgent messages
Please note: Important and urgent alerts will always be sent right away.
3. Check Your Contact Information
Please check your email address and phone number. If you need to change anything, update your information in Infinite Campus. This will help you not miss important school messages.
Messages for All Families
ParentSquare can translate messages into more than 190 languages. This means families can receive messages in the language they prefer. Families can also reply in their preferred language. This helps build better communication between home and school.
